NEW: The PX2 Euro Low-loader
Since the introduction of the Pendel-X low-loader in 2005, Nooteboom has already delivered more than 1000 pendle-axle lines, which makes them the market leader in Europe. Some important features of this successful Nooteboom Pendel-X low-loader have been modified and it is now introduced as the “PX-2 Euro low-loader”. The updated PX-2 gives you optimal ease of operation, maximum transport reliability and the lowest running costs.

Axle travel from 400 to 600mm
The axle travel of the PX-2 is increased significantly, from 400 to 600mm. The axle assembly has a height of just 1,100mm in drive position and from here can be lowered to the ground by 140 mm or raised by 460 mm to maximise the ground clearance. This axle travel of 600 mm makes it also much easier, for instance, to change a punctured inside wheel.
New knee bearing system
The PX-2 Pendel-X low-loader is equipped with a completely new knee bearing system. The divisible knee axle now comes in one piece, which guarantees a much longer lifespan of the knee bearing.
Improved transport reliability
With the new PX-2 low-loader the risk of damaging the air reservoirs or hydraulic hoses in the axle assembly has virtually been eradicated. All air reservoirs are integrated in the central beam of the axle assembly and the hydraulic hoses have been mounted in a totally different way. This means Nooteboom can guarantee a much longer lifespan for the hydraulic hoses and therefore offer greatly improved transport reliability.

The clever steering system, via turntables, makes the Nooteboom Pendel-X low-loader unequalled as regards manoeuvrability and lifespan of the tyres. Nooteboom Pendel-X low-loader with Van Holten Roll-Over canopy for Spedition Bender
Spedition Bender from Freudenberg in Germany recently brought into use the first of two new 2-axle Pendel-X low-loaders for the transport of trains. Spedition Bender has more than 100 tractors and over 140 semi-trailers in their fleet and they are active in many sectors of the transport industry, including special transport. Bender has since early 2000 regularly been investing in Nooteboom transport solutions, such as semi-low-loaders and flatbed semi-trailers. The latest additions to the fleet are 2-axle double extendible Pendel-X low-loaders, equipped with a Roll-Over canopy structure of Dutch specialists Van Holten. These special transport combinations are predominantly used by Spedition Bender to transport trains from the Siemens factory in Krefeld, Germany to Bruges in Belgium.
Nooteboom Trailer Service opens first German branch in Bochum
On Monday 10 October Nooteboom Trailer Service has opened their first Service Centre in Germany. Nooteboom Trailer Service GmbH is located in the province of North Rhine-Westphalia, just off the A40 and A43 motorway junction, exit Bochum/Harpen.
Nooteboom 3-axle PX2 low-loader on 245 tyres offers lowest pendle axle assembly in market
The latest Nooteboom PX2 low-loader on 245 tyres has an extremely low axle assembly. The use of 245 tyres means the axle assembly is approx.10 cm lower than on a low-loader with 285 tyres.
Latest Nooteboom 5-axle Telestep Ballasttrailer for Steil Kranarbeiten
Steil Kranarbeiten from Trier in Germany has recently expanded their fleet quite considerably with the addition of several vehicles, including a 7-axle MCO-PX semi low-loader and two 5-axle Telestep Ballasttrailers. Steil Kranarbeiten has various branches in Germany, France and Luxembourg and the Steilgroep offer a wide range of services: specialised crane services, special transport, recovery and towing, access platform and forklift truck hire. Over the last few years Steil has invested heavily in their transport fleet, adding some 15 Nooteboom ballast trailers, Multitrailers and OSDS semi low-loaders.
