Telestep ideal for the transportation of long rotor blades
With the introduction of the Telestep, Nooteboom found the perfect response to the growing demand for transport solutions with a low load floor for ultra-long loads such as rotorblades or upper towersections.
Low load floor height
The Telestep is supplied with a triple extendible load floor with a height from under 120 cm, with 3, 4 or 5 axles and on 245/70 R 17,5 tyres. The turntable steering ensures excellent manoeuvrability. Despite the extreme length, the patented Nooteboom extension beam concept guarantees a perfectly flat load floor, in retracted as well as extended position, even on a loaded trailer.
The Nooteboom Telestep has been designed and constructed in such a way that loads (up to the permitted coupling weight) can be placed directly behind the gooseneck as well, i.e. not just on top of the gooseneck
At the last Matexpo, Nooteboom introduced their latest access platform semi low-loader. It concerns a multifunctional 3-axle hydraulically steered semi low-loader, complete with hydraulic height-adjustable load floor for loading onto the gooseneck.
One of the youngest players in the wind turbine transport sector is the German company A.M. Kran Wind GmbH from Schwedt/Oder-Heinersdorf. A.M. Kran Wind (in Poland operational since 1997) has been active in Germany for more than 2 years is owned by Maciej Gozdzik, who also owned the polish special transport company EUROKRAN-2 Sp. z.o.o. .
PEMA Truck & Trailer hire, who have their headoffice in Herzberg am Harz in Germany, recentlyadded severalNooteboom semi low-loaders to their hire fleet. This brings the total number of Nooteboom semi-trailers that have been delivered to PEMA over the last few years to more than 100.The vehicles supplied are mainly 3-axle and 4-axle extendible Teletrailers andsemi low-loaders, some of them with self-steering axles and some with hydraulic commandsteering.
ALE, one of the world’s largest heavy transportation and lifting companies, recently placed an order worth millions with Nooteboom Trailers for 16 vehicles for the transport of wind turbine parts. Almost all the (mostly 8-axle) extendible semi low-loaders and 4-axle Quatro extendible Telesteps have by now been delivered and put to work to carry out the very complex logistics of this operation.
